As a Certified Professional Coach specializing in career development, transitions and outplacement, I have the privilege of helping clients at various stages of their career, ranging from entry-level to C-level executives, across industries including professional services, legal, technology, advertising, healthcare, and more. ​I partner with my clients to discover their "why", keep them accountable, and provide the support needed to achieve their end goals.
Prior to launching J. Carman Coaching & Consulting, I spent nearly 20 years as a talent acquisition and development leader in the professional services industry, working at a variety of AmLaw 100 and 200 firms across the US.

For nearly 20-years, I rose through the ranks as a leader in talent acquisition & development at global law firms. But beneath the surface, I struggled with a growing sense of detachment and a nagging feeling that what I was doing lacked true purpose.

After a sabbatical filled with personal exploration, I uncovered my motivations, values, strengths, and the activities that truly brought me joy.
My transformation did not happen overnight. I trusted the process, dug deep, and asked myself a lot of tough questions. This ultimately led to envisioning a future that aligned with my aspirations and one in which "work" became a source of genuine fulfillment instead of an obligation.

And it is hands down the best decision I've ever made. I no longer view what I do as work; it's a joyful process of helping others uncover their potential and chart their unique paths to success. My experience illustrates the profound impact that working with a professional coach can have on shaping our lives.
